Chuck VanRobays


Chuck is the leader of the organization and serves as the Director of Operations, overseeing all off-season and in-season activities.  Coach VanRobays has been with the program since it began in 2006 and has seen the program grow from one team to ten.  He is directly involved in designing the curriculum, creating and implementing practice plans, grooming coaches and working hands on to develop player skills at all levels.  Chuck has coached at all levels of the program and led the 2011 18u team to a CABA World Series Championship.  That was followed by a 2012 AABC 17u World Series runner up.

Aaron Wick


Coach Wick has served as a assistant, head coach, and Director of Baseball Operations for the Oakland Bulldogs Program. Aaron was a 4 year starter on the mound and in the field for the Golden Grizzlies of Oakland University. He has also received his Master degree in Business Administration from OU and served as the Graduated assistant for the Baseball program. Coach Wick has also spent time as the Varsity Pitching Coach at Lake Orion High School.

Jeff Hall


Jeff Hall has been a part of the Bulldogs organization since it began in 2006 and has coached at all levels of the program.  Hall was the Varsity Baseball Head coach at Rochester Adams from 2011 to 2023 where he won several district and regional championships.  Coach Hall was a 5 year player at Oakland University, before taking over as an assistant at Adams.

Nick Vogelmeier


Nick serves as the Director of Baseball Operations and handles all of the logistics of the program. Nick works hands on with infielders and hitters in the program and assists with practice design and implementation. “Vog” is quickly becoming one of the best coaches and instructors in the State. Nick played in the Bulldogs program for four seasons before moving on to Western Michigan University. At Western he played both SS and 2B. Vog coaches the 14u Oakland Bulldogs.

Trevor Hulvey


Trevor Hulvey was a 4 year player in the Bulldogs program before moving on to play at Siena Heights University.  Hulvey finished his degree at Central Michigan University where he served as the program’s Director of Baseball Operations.  Trevor works as the assistant director of the program and helps with all aspects of Bulldog Operations on and off the field.   Additionally, He serves as a volunteer assistant at Rochester Christian University.

Spencer Fleming


Spencer is entering his third year coaching for the Oakland Futures. “Flem” played for the Oakland Bulldogs from 2011-2016 and went on to play at Northwood University where he studied Finance & Business Analytics. Fleming is the Head Coach for the 12u Futures.

Brady Carpenter


 Brady is entering in third year coaching for the Oakland Bulldogs. For the last two seasons, Brady has been with our current 15u Black and will be taking over our 18u team. “Carp” graduated from Oxford High School and is currently a junior outfielder at Saginaw Valley State University. Brady played for Coach VanRobays throughout his Oakland Bulldogs days and we are very excited to see him grow.

Jake Nuttal


Jake is currently a freshman at Rochester Christian University. Nuttal played for the Bulldogs 2016-2018 and was a huge asset for his teams success each season. Nuttal will be assisting the 13u Oakland Bulldogs alongside Coach Hall and will be mainly working with the pitchers.

Dylan Putnam


Coach Putnam is the acting Director of Pitching for the Oakland Bulldogs Baseball Program. He brings 5 seasons of Division 1 coaching experience from both Michigan State University and Oakland University. Dylan split his college playing career first starting for the Tulane Greenwave and then finishing his career for the Spartans of MSU. Coach Putnam is currently an instructor for baseball performance at Origin Athletics.

Scott Clippert

Coach Clip, a 2020 grad, is the newest for the Oakland Bulldogs coaching staff. Scotty was a Albion College graduate where he served as a starter and out of the pen for the Britons. Clip oversees all of our teams and has a hand in our Futures and Bulldogs pitchers.

Connor McClennen


 Connor is entering his second season as a coach for the Oakland Bulldogs. “Lenny” is a 2019 grad for the Bulldogs where he played for Rochester Adams in his high school days. McClennen went on to play for SVSU and was a five year starter for the Cardinals at shortstop. Connor is currently a graduate assistant at Quincy University in Ohio.

Nolan Lawrence


Coach Lawrence, a 2018 graduate from Fenton High School and former Bulldog, played two years of college baseball at Kellogg Community College where the Bruins were State and Regional champions. Nolan is currently completing his Bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Michigan-Flint and plans to continue his education upon graduation to become a Doctor in Physical Therapy.
